Who doesn’t love a warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie? This classic recipe delivers crispy edges with soft, chewy centers—a perfect balance that keeps everyone coming back for more. Made with simple pantry staples and easy techniques, it’s a timeless favorite for any occasion, from holidays to casual snack times.
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually blend dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8–10 minutes or until edges are golden but centers still look soft.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
These cookies freeze well and can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. For an extra touch, add chopped nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
