Garlic bread is a classic side that complements countless dishes, from pasta to soups. Making it at home is easy, and the result is far superior to store-bought versions. This recipe uses real butter, fresh garlic, and herbs for a perfectly crispy, buttery loaf that will elevate any meal. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s a crowd-pleaser for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of French bread or baguette

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning

  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, and salt. Mix well.

  3. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.

  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on each half.

  5. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, butter side up.

  6. Bake for 15 minutes, until the edges are golden and crispy.

  7. For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.

  8. Slice and serve warm.

This garlic bread pairs wonderfully with pasta dishes, salads, or even as a tasty snack on its own. You can customize the herbs or add shredded cheese on top before baking for a cheesy twist.

Storage Tips:
Wrap leftovers in foil and keep at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
